Crest opens basketball season with a win

Crest defeated Kings Mountain 62-55 to start the season 1-0. This was a big win since most of the team is still on the football field. Crest was led by Dion Malichai with 21 points. CJ Wright tossed in 18 and Anthony Neal added 12. Crest will play at Shelby tonight.

good start but much like football, competing at the 4A level again, alot of different opponents and i believe more talented teams will make this year especially interesting.

The x-factor for Crest will be Dion. He's hard to match-up with and if plays with energy and emotion, is almost impossible to stop. I hope that this is his real break out year.
