I don't mean to sound cruel, and this will most probably make things worse for 20, but I'm going to tell it like I see it.

I think Dawn is over reacting. This over reaction is based upon several things. The biggest reasons are lack of self confidence and low self esteem. But I think the most telling is that Dawn has seen that 20 found a place that he can escape and have fun, even if it's just bullshitting around. I think she's more hurt because he has been joking around, has found some small happiness and has been able to unwind and that it doesn't include her. This is the reason for her putting this board down.

Now if that is all the facts that you knew then it would appear that 20 is in the wrong. Maybe not in the wrong but it appears that he doesn't want to unwind or find happiness with his wife. However, as I am part of the family I know that 20 does love his wife and that he is a brow beaten man who is trying to work things out with his wife. Maybe Dawn needs to stop ignoring what she knows, she's knocked 20 down so much that the trust he should feel towards her isn't there.

Now when I was having oppressive bitch problems and my wife wouldn't spend time with my family and came up with lame excuses to not go to VA with me Dawn thought my wife was being a bitch. In fact when she saw how hurt I was she didn't offer me support but rather turned her smartass comments on me. However, I wasn't totally dead so I got a joke off on her and she hasn't liked me much ever since.

Now I wonder what makes women put other women down for doing a certain thing (brow beating their husbands for instance) but then will turn around and do the same thing themselves and think it's okay and will defend their actions. I know that Dawn will go to my father's house, we'll call him ChickenShit (an old nic of his) and will put 20 down with 20 sitting right there. I would imagine that putting him down has grown to include posting on this board since before she even joined. She'll do this at other times also. She's learned not to do it around me or my mother, we'll call her CancerFree. We can be impartial listeners but we will call a spade a spade. Most people that put others down to boost themselves up are just looking for someone to agree with them and not an objective opinion.

In short I think Dawn needs to sit down and examine her own actions. She needs to think about what she has done to drive 20 away to the point that he must find his happiness on this board.

Hey - I have no problem with people teeing off on her for some of those threads. She freely asked for the abuse by coming in here in the manner that she did.
