since i expressed an interest in delhomme, he's made this offer:

Jon Kitna
Maurice Morris
Anquan Boldin

Jake Delhomme
Troy Williamson
Ladell Betts

My starting team as of right now:

QB: Drew Bledsoe
RB: Steven Jackson, Larry Johnson
WR: Anquan Boldin, Plaxico Burress, Andre Johnson
K: Neil Rackers
D: Carolina

if i made the trade, it would be:

QB: Jake Delhomme
RB: Steven Jackson, Larry Johnson
WR: Plaxico Burress, Andre Johnson, Troy Williamson
K: Neil Rackers
D: Carolina

boldin was my #1 pick (we keep three players, so our draft starts in round 4, essentially) and i'm not giving him up. i counter-offered Bledsoe and Morris for Delhomme and Betts. (Betts is just a throw-in to keep the rosters even). I told him i would swap out Kitna for Bledsoe if he wanted.

remember, this is a pperformance-based league.

here are the scoring rules:

Teams play head to head. Each team starts one quarterback, two running backs, three wide receivers, a kicker and a defense/special teams. YOU CANNOT START A PLAYER AT A POSITION HE DOES NOT PLAY. If you have a question about where someone qualifies to play, please ask a commissioner.

Points are awarded in the following categories:

QB - completions, completion percentage, total yards (passing yards plus rushing yards minus 25 yards per interception), touchdowns (rushing and passing)
RB - rushes, yards rushing, catches, yards receiving
WR - catches, yards receiving, yards per catch
K - points scored
D - yards allowed, turnovers plus sacks
Total points scored by all players

The two teams are compared in each of the categories and 2 points are awarded to the team that wins each category. No points are awarded in case of a tie in a category.

In addition, 1 bonus point is awarded for each of the following feats:

--300 total yards by a quarterback (BEFORE subtracting for interceptions)*
--100 yards rushing by a running back*
--100 yards receiving by a running back*
--100 yards receiving by a receiver*
--a score by a team's defense (safety, kickoff return, punt return, interception or fumble return)**
--a score from 50 or more yards (as in a 53-yard touchdown pass, or a 60-yard TD run or catch, or a fumble return of 73 yards)
--a field goal of 45-51 yards (a field goal of 52 or more yards is 2 bonus points)
--a shutout by a team's defense

*The yardage bonus points go up with each 100 yards - that is, 2 bonus points would be awarded for 400 yards from a quarterback or 200 yards from running back or receiver. 3 bonus points would be awarded for a 500-yard passing game, and so on.

**Scores by kickoff or punt return are only 1 bonus point regardless of distance. This because they are almost by definition more than 50 yards.

The team with the most points and bonus points wins. If the two teams have the same number of points, they tie (except in the playoffs).

Try Bledsoe + Burress for Delhomme + someone you like. Betts isn't going to get it done, but Burress is going to be a disappointment this year. More of his deep routes will go to Moss and Carter, so his YPC will go down, but I also expect fewer catches overall since the Giants won't repeat the absurd number of passing attempts they had last season.

I'd probably accept that trade.

From a fantasy perspective you do not gain much in getting Delhomme over Bledsoe. You are giving up a top receiver though so I would probably not do the trade.
