Got this email from a guy who wants Ward:
These are guys I could move and you might have an interest in (because of depth, I would probably give you any of these for Ward). Might also consider something like Gates and Foster for Ward and Crumpler.

Cadillac, Lamont Jordan, D Foster, D McAlister, Fred Taylor

Gates, Winslow

My tradeable WR’s are Braylon Edwards, Nate Burleson, and Michael Clayton though I doubt these guys would factor unless you wanted a “sweetener.”
-------------------

I had the highest score in Week 1 and feel I have no glaring holes except for maybe RB depth. Is that worth giving up a stud receiver like Ward? Bradford and Bryant aren't terrible options there. As you can see I can improve at TE as well but not by much.

I'm leaning toward not worth a starter for depth even if I can improve at TE because Gates might not be that much better than Crumpler.

What do you think?

No, you shouldn't trade Ward. Bryant's week would seem to be a fluke until Alex Smith proves that he's a real quarterback, and I'd tend to keep Ward anyway. Gore and Jackson are a strong RB pair, and your depth is decent enough with Lundy and Brown. Lundy will be better against worse teams, so don't worry too much about him. I wouldn't object to trading Bryant and Brown for Fred Taylor, though. I know the injury risk is substantial, but Brown is going to be splitting carries all year whereas Taylor has solid value potential with Jones out. Hell, if you could get him to throw Clayton into that you'd have a sweetheart deal.

are you a redraft or keeper league?

if keeper, i'd look at getting caddy and getting one his "sweetners". a ww pickup of drew carter(for example) could net you the same amount of points. plus, move one of those qb's. i bet someone is quick to jump on the warner bandwagon. i think lundy may pan out to the point, he could be moved too.
if none of this applies, keep what you got.

another trade....

i get holt and kjones
for
chambers and green.

projectionally, they're similar.

his lineup...

portis,james,deuce,white,rhodes
burress,coles,branch,pinston,holt

i'd have holt,cj,sjax,ft,tbell, and kjones starting as a result

this is a 1 keeper league. my keeper was portis. his james. he had the #3 pick, me #9. i traded him portis(post injury) for his #3. kept #9. lost my 2nd pick and switched 3rd rd picks. also got him to trade eli manning and the pick on the clock rd 10 for leftwich and white. so i got a history with this guy.

i think if i got this deal, i'm fleecing him again.
