Mushroomhead XX

This is a really good and upcoming band. Very solid sound two lead singers. lots of keyboards and and heavy metal.

Dude, Mushroomhead is shit. Real crappy Slipknot. And Slipknot BLOWS. Of course this is just MY opinion.

The last one I put in was "the practice of joy before death" by Pond.

I've seen that Mushroomhead band on MTVX. I've always been intrigued by the idea of two lead singers -- mainly because it seems one can sing and the other can't. Mushroomhead (from what i've seen) lives up to that.

I feel like the "red-headed stepchild"; but what the hell here goes:
"Marvellous"----Michel Petrucciani, piano; Tony Williams, drums;
Dave Holland, bass; with the Graffiti String

Slayer, Undisputed Attitude. It's like a revolving door with that CD.

Hey Twig, I listened to that the other night from beginning to end. It's a little monotonous, but different. I kind of like it but i don't see it becoming a favorite. Track 2 is awesome and of course 3. I'm gonna burn you a copy of my Dido. It's so good even you will like it.

Ok...earlier it was Blightobody, a college band that won some stupid contest on Late Night with Conan and broke up shortly after that. But at the moment, Dee-Lite, World Clique. I was feeling very gay after painting walls and laying hardwoods, and nostalgia is a good excuse too. :D

I'm listening to my own music of course. It's a CD with me and some has been called MC Hammer. My music and dance moves are way better than his.

And since I'm now getting into the rock scene with my new band I also have Fuel. I saw these guys in Vegas at the House of Blues and man they rock!!! They were going to do a version of Ice Ice Baby but I had to say, "Play your own songs, don't mess with mine."

MONK WITH JOHN COLTRANE(that "modal rascal", lol).

I'm now listening to Charlie Haden's THE MONTREAL TAPES with
Paul Bley and Paul Motian(whom was with Bill Evans and Gary Peacock, when I had the pleasure of hearing live).
Other pianists that I'm fond of and enjoy listening to especially on Sunday morning are: Keith Jarrett(the man),
Mulgrew Miller, Lyle Mays, Michel Petrucciani(rip), Herbie Hancock
(his work w/Miles)

put me at the level of occasional jazz performer rather than novice listener. That may help us relate levels better, so we can get into the meat of this.

I don't know everything on every horn player out there (I'm really weak at guys like Ornette Coleman and Rashaan Roland Kirk) but I've tried to cover most of the bases. I'm real heavy on Mulligan, Rollins, and Clifford Brown along with the usual suspects.

I have the Monk/Coltrane w/Coleman Hawkins, Art Blakey, et al.
Very familiar with Hancock's work w/Miles, but not the Stone Flute. Have to admit ignorance to the Witherspoon/Webster also.

If you like that period of Trane you might want to check out his
STARDUST SESSION. This recording(s) was previously released with other sessions on two or three cds, but fairly recently combined to one cd [which, IMO, is the way it should have been done in the first place].
