When she hears the background porn music she won't even come in the room.

Any type of punk or Ozzy type hard rock.

Funny story -

We were at a Christmas party this past year, and she hadn't eaten all day. At the party, she had like 3 or 4 generous glasses of wine, and got shitfaced. We wound up at the Penguin, where she began dancing around to AC/DC, and bought more AC/DC songs on the jukebox. She kept saying 'I love AC/DC', and then passed out and actually puked *something she hadn't done in 11 years of me nowing her*.

So, that was some funny shit.

anything with repetitive lyrics or a dance beat.

Country. Being from Philly she just hates it. She was also one of those big-haired metal chicks back in the 80's so groups like Metallica, etc. would only reel her in.

Puddle of Mudd "Control" when he keeps saying over and over, "I like the way you smack my ass"

Foreigner, Journey, REO Speedwagon, and all other sappy 80's pop/rock. I don't like that stuff much, but I have a higher tolerance for it than she does. It probably doesn't help that any time any Foreigner song comes on the radio, I immediately start singing the words "Dirty White Boy!" loudly and completely off key while making erratic dance movements with my hands. Also, she can literally no longer listen to "Hotel California" since seeing some pathetic bimbo on Howard Stern have her ass beaten with a fish while singing it.

Don't understand it. Canned Heat is great.

Anyway, pretty much any hard rock will do it for my wife.

Actually, I took my fiance to a Rage Against the Machine concert as one of our early dates... then to Tool a few weeks later. Those were great shows...

Anyway, the thing she just can't stand is Rush. She also has a low tolerance for anything where they scream a lot -- Korn, Deftones, etc.

As y'all get older, you will come to grips with the fact that your wives will automatically not like what you like. They get that stuff from their mothers and their mother probably didn't like you either.
A good rule of thumb is -----If you are having too good a time then it must stop immediately !
Then as you get around my age, you will quit giving a rats ass and just go on about your losing ways. Also, you will find out that she not only doesn't like your music, she doesn't like you talking at all ,unless she has asked you something.:)
I have said time and time again---Stay out of their faces or you gonna get your feelings hurt. :)

It is not the music that it annoys them---It is YOU that annoys them.

What's that got to do with getting older? That sounds like my house right now. ;)

Yeah kshead, its probably happening at a younger age now, what with all this Oprah shit on tv. They use to didn't know about it at that young an age but Donahue and all them shows started blabbing it everywhere.;)

Geddy Lee takes an acquired taste. I didn't care much for him at first, but I liked Neil Peart and thought he was a drumming god. I was a drummer in high school and I listened to Rush a lot back then.:)

Aren't drummers required to idolize Neil Peart, John Bonham, and Keith Moon? Maybe that's changed now. Have today's drumming idols become Roland, Alesis, and Korg?

You forgot Ginger Baker. He is still alive you know. Isn't that amazing. I am going to live forever.

Its kinda funny, she claims she likes every style of music. And in fairness she pretty much does. But what drives her bonkers is my Irish music or the 80's alternative stuff i still religiously listen and remenis too.

Which pretty much backs Putts theory, which ive already accused her of many times.

But i love blaring this song when she starts acting up, its quite apt dont you think:

Oasis - Married With Children

There's no need for you to say you're sorry
Goodbye I'm going home
I don't care no more so don't you worry
Goodbye I'm going home
I hate the way that even though you
Know you're wrong you say you're right
I hate the books you read and all your friends
Your music's shite it keeps me up all night, up all night

There's no need for you to say you're sorry
Goodbye I'm going home
I don't care no more so don't you worry
Goodbye I'm going home

I hate the way that you are so sarcastic
And you're not very bright
You think that everything you've done's fantastic
Your music's shite it keeps me up all night, up all night

And it will be nice to be alone
For a week or two
But I know that I will be
Right back here with you, with you, with you, with you, with you, with you, with yooou...

There's no need for you to say you're sorry
Goodbye I'm going home
I don't care no more so don't you worry
Goodbye I'm going home

About 2/3 of the shit I own. Ozzy, Metallica, Megadeth, Iron Maiden, Deep Purple, the list goes on and on.

She does like the newer trendy stuff like Nickelback...but I'm not really a fan.

If I want dh out of the house Ill just put Back, Chopan or anything that resembles that type of music, on. Rap will get rid of him also. Rap tells him Im not in a very good mood---it means get away from me and he does.

I got a cd of Lester Roadhog Moran and the Cadillac Cowboys. My wife hates it. I keep in my car and play it every now and them just to see her squirm.
