The Charlotte Checkers are hosting their 1st annual Pink in the Rink game on Sunday 2/11/07 at Charlotte Bobcats Arena vs. the Columbia Inferno. Players will wear pink jerseys which will be auctioned after the game to benefit American Cancer Society, Carolina Breast Friends and the Mary Kay Ash Charitable foundation.
You can get discounted tickets by going to www.gocheckers.com and clicking on "Group Promo Code" and then entering CBF or MKACF. 50% of each ticket sold goes directly to the charity.
The Checkers have won 7 straight home games at CBA and are 8-2 in the last 10 games, including a shootout loss. Sunday games have a free post-game skate with the players ($5 for skate rental if needed) and autograph session. Free team posters for first 2000 fans. More giveaways and raffles during the game.
