sabres are in deep shit. three of their better players gone. Last week Paul Gaustad went out for the season and Jaro Spacek went out four-six weeks. Max Afinogenov broke his wrist last night (six weeks) and Jiri Novotny tweaked his ankle again. Tim Connolly is on his way back (still over a month away) but suffered a stress fracture earlier this week. suddenly it looks like they may not be able to keep Marty Biron as a backup and may have to trade him. teams will be wise to lowball the shit out of them.
Nashville is health and just picked up Forsberg.:newsmile10:

I'm not worried about what garbage team will come out of the west. buffalo has chewed up and spit out the west's so-called best (nashville included). it's NJ, ottawa, atlanta, pittsburgh, carolina they have to worry about. if they win the east, it's smooth sailing, with or without injuries.

pretty ignorant statement considering the players are just now getting healthy and getting into a groove. Prior to the NY game, we won 3 out of 4. We're only 4 points behind 1st place in the division, with 22 games left in the season. Plenty of time for the Canes to make the playoffs.
Erik Cole should be back tonight, and Stillman will come back next week. Canes are fine.

erik cole is a fucking punk.

Does that make them unhealthy?
I hadn't heard about Afinogenov, that sucks. At least they have time to make moves now, unlike last year. Biron is a luxury they can do without, but yeah, are there many teams in need of goaltending right now?
erik cole is a fucking punk.why?

why?
he'll come up with something weak. Cole gives 100% every game, and is classy in and outside of the rink.

And he convinced me to start wearing my seat belt.

we all know about the pity party cole had thrown for him after orpik nailed him last year. he did the same thing to Brian Campbell this year.
real classy. yeah, he's a punk.

have a video of that? I have no idea what you're talking about. As far as the "pity party", still not sure what you're talking about.

Roddy scores 2 goals, and Cole has an assist and a goal, for the Canes 7th straight win in Montreal.
Like I said, our best hockey is about to start.

I saw the game. He ran Campbell from behind, forearmed him in the back of the head and crushed him into the boards. campbell was laid out on the ice for a little bit, but fortunately wasn't hurt badly. Cole's a pussy punk.

you're a youtube whiz, find it. I'd like to see that. Until then, I highly doubt it went down like that. Cole has always played clean.

they may have to trade Marty Biron afterall. Hope not. only other option (other than hoping for the best with what they have left) is to put Connolly on IR to free up cap space.

are they that tight to the cap? wow, didn't think a lot of teams, especially Buffalo, was spending that close to the limit.

right up against it, according to Regier. that's why connolly's injury is killing them. they kept his salary on the rolls because of the possibility he could come back. they don't even know what they'll get when/if he is activated. Biron makes well over $2 million but I want him around in case. It would make no sense to trade Marty for a need player (defenseman, IMHFO) because they'd need to pick up a backup goalie too. they did save some on Gaustad's injury, but not near enough. Funny thing was listening to Lindy's postgame press conference after they beat the Oilers and lost Afinogenov and Novotny. He says at least they're getting these injuries out of the way. Next game kotalik fuck up his MCL.

wtf? winger Daniel Paille out 2-3 weeks with a broken finger suffered in last night's game. fifth straight game they've lost a player for an extended period. Rochester won't have a team before long.
