I feel like this is one of my better photos I've taken to date - particularly from a distance. Thoughts? criticisms? suggestions?
thanks.
looks out of focus. what were your settings?

I had it on AI servo with spot focusing on the center spot. Dont remember exactly where I put the spot, but I'm sure it was somewhere on her face. Here's the camera data:
It is slightly out of focus. Drop your aperture a couple of stops and increase your shutter speed. 1/100th of a second is usually not enough with animals and children. Any movement (yours or theirs) will cause some problems. The lower aperture will also shrink your depth of field too blurry the background even more which compliments portraits nicely.
plus, your focal length was 122mm -- you should be shooting well faster than 1/100th of a second if you're going handheld.
general rule of thumb -- if you're handheld with ambient light, shoot at least 1/focal length.
