when I take photos with my digital camera and I upload them to my computer, why are they always huge? It took me almost a hour to transfer 60 pictures to my local printing shop. What am I doing wrong? Thanks

Because some of the cameras default to the biggest image, you're probably taking 6 or bigger meg pics. Check your menu or read the book, it will tell you where the image size option is, change it.

If you are sending them to print though the large file sizes are better because they will have more pixels and will print better. If you are just using them for digital images them anything over a certain amount of pixels is just wasted disk space.
