According to reports from The Philadelphia Inquirer and The Sports Network of Canada, the Flyers have acquired defenseman Kimmo Timonen (http://sports.espn.go.com/nhl/players/profile?playerId=942) and forward Scott Hartnell (http://sports.espn.go.com/nhl/players/profile?playerId=346), both unresitrcted free agents, from the Nashville Predators (http://sports.espn.go.com/nhl/clubhouse?team=nsh) for the second first-round pick (No. 23 overall) Philly gained in the Peter Forsberg (http://sports.espn.go.com/nhl/players/profile?playerId=284) trade. The reports indicated that Timonen has agreed to a six-year, $37.8 million contract (an annual $6.3 million cap hit), while Hartnell is set to sign a six-year, $25.2 million deal (an annual $4.2 million cap hit). Last season, the Flyers finished dead last in the league with a 22-48-12 record.
