Gave my son my Canon S2is and papa is going for a new camera. It looks like it will be the Oly E 510 and I can`t wait. Its been 3 years since a camera purchase.:patriot:

OK, I`ve changed my mind on the Oly. Going to go with the Pentax K10D.

Welcome to the club. I got mine just as soon as I could get my hands on one right after they came out, actually drove a couple of hours to get it. I really like it, BUT.. it just came back today from the shop. Somehow I got something on the sensor and the self cleaning mechanism wouldn't shake it off. No idea how I did it.
Other than that it's been great. I'm glad to have it back before the wedding my wife's working on this weekend.

Glad you got it back, did you try cleaning it off with a bulb-type blower?
This camera is built like a tank!

I did. I don't have a magnifying glass so I couldn't see what I was blowing at and I'm pretty leery of messing around inside a camera to begin with. It was well worth the time and money to have it professionally cleaned.
But you're right, it is built like a tank and I haven't had it very long. I haven't changed the lens That much and it's not like I ever changed it in a dust storm. Rotten luck, I guess.
Still, it's good to have it back. My wife had a wedding yesterday and I've grown pretty comfortable with that camera in the short time I've had it.

There is a setting, to clean the sensor, that locks the mirror up and out of the way so you can better access the sensor.
It`ll take me a long time to learn every nook and cranny on this bad boy.
