View Full Version : Thank you tj and JM15
for having a successful 1st year of the American Legion Forum. You guys did a great job and should be congratulated. I know this, if I didn't have you guys as moderators, there wouldn't have been this forum.
I'm really excited to see this explode next year. The one thing I would like to see is pictures (game action shots)....and interviews.
Great job! :hurray:  :crown: :clapclap:
Heck I didn't do anything except enjoy another good year of legion baseball, even tho my team didn't have the best of years, it still beat anything else I'd rather be doing. I hate I didn't make it to the state tourney in Garner,,, I had a little injury and I've been taking "good stuff" trying to get better without surgery. But I understand JM15 & Co. did a super job in Garner and they had a super lineup of 8 great teams. I agree it was a good 1st year for this forum,,, was especially happy to see involvement from eastern posters, finally got some darn folks from legion hotbed Rowan County to chime in, and the regulars were all "just themselves" and provided good stuff as usual.
I think while many who criticize legion like to say that we fuss and fight all the time,,, those of us involved all understand yes we'll argue,,, but I've also always found that legion folk will come to your back too if need be.
I've said before, and JM15 reminded me of this the other day with one of his posts, but the way I got liking legion so much was many moons ago as a player,,,, we had a very heated Concord/Salisbury playoff game when both crowds were yelling at each other shelling one personal attack after another, (back then I believed for a long time all pitcher's names was RAGARM), anyway the ballgame was close and you wondered if someone was going to kill somebody before the night was over,,,,, and all of a sudden (just like JM15 said), when they played "God Bless America" over the PA, everyone stood at the same instant and was reverently very quiet and respectful, even saw some smiling at each other. It was that very moment that I said to myself "this is some fun stuff".
Btw, best of luck to CHERRYVILLE (spelled it correctly, they deserve that) in the SE Regionals...

WOW...What a season, hope I didnt offend anyone...sometimes in the heat of the moment you say things you wish you hadn't the next day. All in all it was a great season of baseball and I enjoyed knocking around with you guys on TBR. Congratulations to Cherryville on their State Championship

echo the sentiments on JM15 and tj...thanks guys.
if we setup electronically (rather than manually), happy to post our photos on TBR. or perhaps create place on TBR with links to any team site albums you want, and then we put TBR link on those team sites to make sure they have easy path back to TBR after viewing the pics. or maybe something else. give me a shout if you see an option.
