Another season of Legion ball is now over for most of us. My son and I were talking last night about how much fun this past season has been; getting to play with your best buds and representing your community.
It is also a sad time for me knowing that this is the last go round for many of the Legion players that were on our roster. My son pointed out that the majority of them were leaving for college today. Whew, the house is already getting too quiet. No more of the phone ringing off the hook with coaches, players and parents discussing details of the next game and all of those great road trips.
My advise to you parents that have younger children; enjoy every minute you can of this baseball adventure; it goes by way too fast! I would not trade anything in this world for the past 13 years watching my son and his buddies play this great game.

Know how you feel....my sons legion career ended in 2005 and time has not helped me yet..lol... I miss him being out there so bad its hard to go watch the games. I followed him for about 16 years counting his college ball and its hard to find a replacement for the rush you feel when your son comes up to bat with the game on the line. Hope you weather better than I did.....I'm thinking I might need therapy...LOL

My son will begin HS ball this next spring. Well that is IF he makes the team. He is rather well known in our community as a good ball player. So I guess we all take it for granted that he will make the HS team.
I love to watch him play. I know that someday he will not be playing ball.
Hope he makes the HS team that way Id have 4 more years to watch him play.:wheelchair:
