Over at the Charlotte.com SPORTS MEDIA board, GerryV posted a rebuttal to Packman's breaking story on PRIMETIME yesterday that Bruton Smith will try to buy the Orlando Magic. He lists several reasons why Bruton won't buy the team and move them to Orlando . . . .

Hmmm....so what about the moral obligation in keeping North Wilkesboro open for all the loyalty the fans gave over the years?
...wasn't the reason given that the track couldn't make as much money??..Hmmmm..........lets see ...Hornet owners have an obligation????.....hmmm what about everyone else......
...and what about the local group that wants to buy but they want some clauses changed...they don't want that money that is being invested by DUKE ENERGY and the BANKS to come out of their own pockets in the payback??..hmmmm they have responded to the deal the way the HOrnets have..meaning the business sense clicked in their heads hmmmmmm.........
wonder if the POWERS that be will go public with the changes made to the deal??? Will they offer that same deal to the Hornets???.....

The simplest solution is for Bruton to buy the Magic and do a franchise swap with Shinnridge like Irsay and Rosenbloom did with the Colts and the Rams way back when. The Arena gets built and Shinnridge gets out of town with a team in hand to do what they want with.
Damn Brain don't you know to never match wits with a guy that has a monthly subscription to 2002 one liners for DJ's.
Don't be discouraged though pretty soon he'll be leaving for NOLA unless shinn has found someone who gives a better rim job down there.
