I could have went with a longer macro(90 or 100) but I needed a good wide angle also.

It arrived and it has quite a bit more mass than the other lens I have. Came with a nice cordura storage unit. This pic was taken with the lens.

I've been looking at that lens online. I have the pentax 50mm 1.4 but it's an odd focal length for me. However, I use my Sigma 24-135 at f2.8, 24mm quite a lot. I'm anxious to see how you like the lens.

My first attempt at live critter macro. Hand held manual focus.
#1 Post processed shot.
#2 is to give a general feeling for the setting.
#3 is the shot, wish I had used a tripod as its kind of hard not to have some rocking motion.

I finally ordered that lens. Should be in this week.

Incidentally, a little malathion or liquid sevin should take care of your little friend up there.

Sweet.
Yeah, that would make those bastards easier to shot too.

Here is a shot I took Halloween night with it.

Pretty daughter (enjoy these years before braces, cars, boys, teenage insanity, college...). Good picture.
I'm really looking forward to getting the lens. I shoot a lot of flowers in churches and country clubs and that 50mm was making me stand pretty far from my subject. Judging by your photo, the 28mm is going to do just exactly what I need.
Should get it Wednsday or Thursday.

It might become one your favorite lens.
The little girl is my son`s girlfriend`s little girl. They brought her and her sister over to my subdivison to let them go trick-or-treating. They made a haul and had a blast.
