Post 29 Going to College World Series

I just talked to one of the Caldwell County coaches and he told me that the team was taking a major road trip in the 2008 season. ( More like taking to the sky ). They are going fly out of Charlotte to play in a tournament in Omaha, Nebraska at the same time the College World Series in going on in June.

He said the team will play during the day and go to at least 3 College World Series games in the evening.

Also they will workout for pro scouts and college coaches while there. There will be American Legion teams there from all over the USA.

wow, what an opportunity for this up coming group. Also post 29 has been branching out into the community more the last couple of years. By this I mean the have started working with a group of much younger kids around the county. I think in the 7-8 yo range and up. They have good facilities to work out in and from what i've heard are really developing some young players from all over the county. I think this is a huge plus for the balance of our schools in the long term. Thanks for all your efforts.
