True. Oddly enough I grew up listening to that because I spent almost all of my time with my parents as they built their business.

Knowing our luck with jags the past 15 years, I'd say the Jag didn't start :D I have a v12 sedan that was given to me for a simple lack of patience in fixing it again.

I've heard that, especially about older Jags. My dad used to say, "The parts that fall off this car are of the finest British quality." :D Maybe that's why so many people have yanked the V12's and converted them over to Chevy 350's.

That's who I was talking about when I said "Eleanor!" That was the car's name in Gone In 60 Seconds. She was silver, as opposed to the blue one in the pic, but hey--a Shelby GT500 is a Shelby GT500, ya know? :D

The 03 Cobra is awesome. But too bad its 390 horses are wasted in the car since it weighs so damn much. They need to fix that next year.

Puck and hasbeen, that silver one I posted IS Eleanor from the second Gone in 60 Seconds. If you have a 67 GT500 you can buy the Eleanor kit for about $5k.

Hey German, here's a car thread for ya'.
Well... HERE I COME!

Cars I wanna AND WILL own (all together, not one after the other):

1. "KITT" from Knight Rider (I got the Firebird, "KITT" in progress, but I won't
take the original interior, because it sucks)
2. "Herbie"... 1963 VW Bug, I'll take a Porsche 356 Engine for it. And I make
it look like Herbie in detail. ;)
3. Opel Manta B (I'll add a picture, it's a german car from the 80s)
4. An old Impala, Eldorado, GTO... or something like that.
5. Porsche 911 ("993")

Here are some pictures:

Opel Manta B (in my opinion the only german pony car):

those things fucking fly.
The all-aluminum big block's an idea that really shoulda caught on.
Probably would have if they weren't so expensive.

I'd love a 69 Camaro... but what the heck is this... the hood causes eye-cancer... http://thisboardrocks.com/forum/images/smilies/imagestore%20%2821%29.gif

(And some Cragar Rims would be better too... like this ones...

Daily Driver: Nothing -- and I mean nothing can beat the wonderful reliability of a Toyota Camry or a Honda Accord. I have a '99 Camry with 225K on it and it still looks and runs beautifully. The best part is I've had to spend very little on maintenance or repairs the whole time I've had it --

For Fun: 1997 TT Supra w/ 6 speed; 197X DeThomaso Pantera; 1970 shelby GT500 Conv.; pre-73 or post '92 Vette; Honda S-2000, Lotus Europa....

I've since given away the '99 Camry: I gave it to a friend with 268000 miles on it and she's still talking to me! :)

I now have a 2005 Camry SE...
