anyone remember a country singer named Billy Ray Zirus (sp?)...he had this one song that for the life of me I can't remember the name of it. It was about 10 years ago and was a huge hit...then the guy fell of the face of the earth.
Cyrus - Achy Breaky Heart
He's still recording - though no big hits - I think something fairly recently was "top forty" anyway......
Please do not put that damn "Achy Breaky Heart" tune in my head again.
I'm begging you. It took years to make it go away.
Edit: A little late there I guess. :o

Ugh. and I thought I was bad for picking that song...
billy ray - achey breaky heart - yuck.
the dude has a tv show on PAX ( or he did ) playing a country doctor.
Horrible song but nowhere close to as bad as Billy Don't be a Hero - the worst song ever played on the radio.
How about - Georgia Sattelites - Keep Your Hands to Yourself.
For some of you old farts out there - remember the song "The Telephone Man? Sung by some chick telling the Telephone Man where he could "put it" and where she "liked it"?

Great lyrics:
Cum on Eileen
Bang you knob on her spleen
Hose her down with your ween
Cum on Eileen
Cum on Eileen
She's a sperm-burpin' queen
Give her face a nice sheen
Cum on Eileen
Can't remember the rest...

"Play that Funky Music White Boy" was by Wild Cherry. Figures that Matt Daugherty, oops, Vanilla Ice, would copy it.

Talk about bringing back memories! When I was little, I would lip-sync this song. My family would go to visit my G-Mother and my brother, my uncle (who is only 3 years older than I) and I would play "rock stars"...we would drag out the revolving light my G-Mother used to shine on her aluminum (sp) christmas tree, build a mike stand and have a concert. I always ended up with this song because it was the only girl-singer we had!
Thanks for trip back down memory lane...:D

Not the best one hit wonder, but it just popped into my head:
Ponderous, by 2NU
"This is ponderous, really ponderous...."
There was talk of a 2NU reunion back in 98, but I havn't heard of anything since.

Actually, I liked The Knack's "Good Girls Don't" a lot better than My Sharona.
They have a couple of good tunes on the best of album - That Thing You Do is pretty good, and there's acouple of others. They were more of a "one Album Wonder"
