Is it cool to list outstanding players from each team? Do not want to offend, but think it would be nice to have those the deserve it to get a shout out. It would help when you go to the games to just know some of the players to look for too. Just thought it would be fun.:supergrin:

yes rocketfan!! We love to hear about good players and how they are doing. With the hopes of the Volleyball thread growing and spreading the news about the thread, my hope and desire is that college coaches will start to visit TBRocks's to check on potential players for recruitment!!
Any positive feedback on players is welcomed!!!

hope no body get upsep, but I like the outsid ehitter from whs, and the setter from ac and their outside hitter, the out side hitter from ebh and # 12 from ac reynold. agree?

Give names if possible, and teams, this may help college coaches recoginize the girls.........No one will be offended........
I don't remember the girl from whs, but ac is i know is liz and kirtin, ebh is Erin and don't know the name for the girl in ac reynold, also Chandler from whs

I think I agree. If you are going to mention players it would be helpful if you have their info. Also if you are going to name a position, it would probably be wise to list which girl since more than one plays that spot.
ie. hitter for whs. I think they have several.
ie. middle for acrhs There is more than one
This is just an idea. Nobody is upset.
maybe if you do not know names, like me. you could describe them or post their numbers.
whs... setter chandler......achs setter liz huitron, outside hitter....kirstin morris...whs.. outside hitter. outside hitter for ebhs erin collins

ac #10 sorry dont' know her name...middle blonde hair, tall , morris is pretty good too.
whs butler #8: butler setter-middle#17 sorry don't know her name, dark hair, tall
I am not going to list anyone for the rockets only because I am biased! These to me are the top three teams and the best players on these teams.

Faith Robbins at Glenn the best player in our conference and just about anyone at Mount Tabor.
Also a shout out to Casey Shiable at Parkland who will be going to Peace College next year to play volleyball.

JH Rose from the Coastal Conference
1) Caroline Douglas Middle Hitter - Straight Medivel on her swing. Way more power than ANY Sophomore should have when she strikes. Wear it and like it.
2) Pammy Craigle Outside Hitter - Deceptive power. Her good timing and core strength puts her in a position to punish blockers. Junior
3) Emily Kneiderfor Middle Hitter - Another Junior (committed to ECU) with power and instincts. If she misses a kill - Lawd help you on her next shot. Like playing a video game and she powers up.
All three of these ladies play extreme blockage D as well as swing it.
And I could go on and on about the rest of this team... wicked service, they all know the game. Way more so than they should at this age...
Chapel Hill - Get ready.... you are on the clock.
EBHS #14, middle hitter Emily Greene is one to watch. She's a sophomore with height and a lot of potential.

I remember her. She should be outstanding next year. She had some pretty impressive stats.

Newton-Conover has some up and coming players with height. Strong freshman class. THey are a 2A team to watch for next year and should do OK in this year's playoffs.
Hickory has a strong front line with Hilton/Gibbs/Pisel--all over 6 feet. Hilton has power; Gibbs is a great blocker; and Pisel is a tall setter/RS. Two of them are named Anna. Don't know their numbers.
Erin Riley from Foard has good stats. Don't know her number.

#15 6'2 OH-Junior, Katie Tatum- Katie is one of the Top Juniors in the state and is an awesome powerhouse hitter. I will have more on her after November 1st. She is the sister to Last years MVP in the State champoinship game Megan Tatum who is currently playing for Cornell University!
#4 5'10" MH/MB-Junior, Sarah Wrenn-Sarah is just an unbelieveable athlete with tremendous hops!! This girl can sky and was big in both of our playoff games at the net with some great blocking!
#8 5'5" DS/S-Sophomore, Marisa Moore-Marisa was the Rockets outstanding defensive specialist and was BIG for the Rockets in the two playoff games. Against WF Rolesville she had 19digs! IN our Retired coaches words (Sandy Matthews), Marisa reads the ball better than any player she has seen for Person on defense.
#14 5'8" S/OH-Junior, Anna Hayes-Anna was the Rockets main setter for the year and did an outstanding job! She is also a good outside hitter.

Senior- Middle Hitter : Taylor May
Senior -setter : Krista Haywood
Junior- Middle Hitter/Outside Hitter: Kayla Morrow
Junior-Defensive specialist: Tayler Smith
All quick, athletic, strong academically and could help any college volleyball program. Playing in the 3rd round of the State Playoffs. GO RAIDERS!!!

North Meck Lady Vikings meet the undefeated, Mt. Tabor, in the NCHSAA 4A West final four saturday at Winston Salem. Two reasons for North getting this far are Kristen Livingston, Sr.,MH #13 ams Ali Cooke, Jr., OH #15.

South Rowan who lost in the 3rd round of the 3A west state playoffs to an awesome North Iredell team has several players that need mentioning.
Senior: Taylor May 6' Middle Hitter with incredible power
Senior: Krista Haywood Setter with speed and leaping ability
Junior: Kayla Morrow 5'11" Middle/Outside super athletic, hard hitter and great leaper.
