Possible Interview Questions

What would you like to know from coaches we interview? Let's suggest some questions.......

I would like to know what it takes:

skill
attitude
grades
and what is the best way to approach a school? Should the parents do it, or the kids?

we will do this interview soon, i will also transfer an interview we did in softball about recruiting and what it takes. two things that i can tell you up front:

1). you must start looking at your schools of choice in your freshman year and start contacting them in your soph year. waiting any longer is crazy and puts you behind everyone else.

2). GPA!!!!!!!!!! Nothing, and I mean nothing is more important than this except possibly the SAT test. I dont care where you go, 95% will get more money from academics than sports period.

let me give your a recent situation at a D2 school; approx cost to attend: $18,000.00

girl #1, top 20% of her class as far as GPA, tested above average on her SAT, got $16,000.00 in academics from grants/scholarships.

girl #2, middle of the class, did fair on her SAT, got $10,000.00 in academics for grants/scholarships.

both are equal athletics on the field competing for the same positions.

who got it??? girl #1 because it only cost the coach $2,000.00 to put this girl on the team.......

What do coaches measure at their combines? vertical? shuttle?

Is there a min. height they like for various positions?

They might say no but I bet they do look hard at the height.

I know some are watched, I would like to know what an immediate turn off is............good question on the videos.
