The Draughn Lady Wildcats get their first ever playoff victory over Providence Grove today (3-1).
They move on to face either East Bend Forbush or North Stanly on Tuesday.

In my area teams Orange and Cedar Ridge advance to the second round.
Orange swept Guilford 3-0, 25-19, 25-22, 25-20. Orange will Face Bunn in the second round. Orange is 20-4.
Cedar Ridge sweeps Granville Central 3-0, 25-11, 25-9, 25-6. Cedar Ridge plays next at North Lenior.

Cedar Ridge stuns previously undefeated North Lenior last night 3-0!!!
25-17, 25-20, 25-16
Cedar Ridge moves to 20-6 for the season. Next up for Cedar Ridge will be cross county rival Orange!!
Orange downed Bunn last night 3-1, 25-18, 25-12, 19-25, 25-21

Orange will travel to Cedar Ridge for the third round game on Thursday night. This will be a good one to watch!!!!

The Draughn Wildcats lost to Forbush (3-1) on Tues.
This was a very good game, and a great game to watch. Every game could have went either way. Good luck to Forbush for the rest of the playoffs.
Again congrats to the wildcats for a great and very entertaining first year.

In this battle of cross county rivals Cedar Ridge (21-6) came out on top by sweeping Orange (21-4) 3-0, 25-16, 25-19, 25-20
Cedar Ridge will now face Powerhouse Cardinal Gibbons (27-0) saturday night. Gibbons was ranked #82 in the top 100 teans by prepvolleyball.com last week! The Red wolves from Cedar Ridge have there work cut out for them!

From the west 2A Starmount downs N Surry 3-0. And W Henderson sweeps E Henderson 3-0.
West Final is Starmount at W Henderson.

Cardinal Gibbons and W Henderson will meet for the 2A Championship.
Cardinal Gibbons defeated E Duplin 3-0 and W Henderson defeated Starmount tonight!!
Congrats to these young women and good luck in the finals!

West Henderson claims the 2A Championship by defeating Cardinal Gibbons 3-2. This was a classic of powerhouse teams with W Henderson prevailing as the champions!! Gibbons took the first set 25-16. W Henderson took the next two sets 28-26 & 25-21. Gibbons took the fourth set 25-19. West Henderson took the final set 15-10 to claim the trophy!!
Erica Cantrell from West Henderson was named MVP!! W Henderson finishes the season 26-0 and Gibbons was 29-1. Congratulations to both teams on an outstanding season!!
West Henderson won there 5th Championship in eight playoff apperances!! They are coached by North Caolina's alltime winningest coach in Highschool volleyball, Jan Stanley. Awesome job ladies!!
