Kristen is 5'11" Senior at North Meck, three year varsity, 2007 MECA-7 All Conference ( I wouldn't be surprised if she's MECA-7 Player Of The Year in '08). A/B Honor Roll (4.48 GPA) and National Honor Society who plans to major in Nursing in college.

Queens Univ., Furman Univ., Wingate Univ., and Wofford College are looking at her but none have committed yet. Why I don't know, If this was softball she would have committed as a junior. Why are volleyball scholarships so hard to get? Coaches don't let this young lady get away!!!

Volleyball

North Mecklenburg's Kristen Livingston is the ME-CA 7 4A Player of the Year, and Rhonda Auman (Hopewell) is coach of the year.

The all-conference team: Ursula Saelzler (Central Cabarrus), Ali Cooke, Blair Atkinson and Livingston (North Meck), GinnyYoung and Kelsey Manning (Mallard Creek), Alex Kirk, Megan Wisehart and Chantelle Zenger (Concord Robinson), Kirstie Castaneira, Brie Livitzki and Chaniel Nelson (Hopewell), and Janah Turner (West Charlotte).

There are so many great OHs in the 5'10"-6'1" range that it can be difficult for a college coach to make a decision. Players in this situation often have to "make their break" by contacting the coaches and getting them to come by their court in club ball.

If she is doing this already she should continue to do so. I am sure that her club coach could give her some advice on how to cast a wide net to get coaches to come by her court.
