Any idea what percentage of your body weight you press during a standard push-up?
I you don't know please don't guess I would prefer an accurate answer.

What the heck am I doing in this tread?
it's over half, but not 75%. i think it's aout 65%, but it depends on where your weight is. if you've got a massive gut, then it's less. 65% is a good rule of thumb.

Anything over 12 ounces is too much for me to curl at any 1 time

It would be different for each person because the makeup of their bodies is different...I could get into a long winded reply here explaining angles, gravity, levers, how resistance changes through a lift, etc but I don't think that is what you are after. I'd guess about 50 - 60 %....but again, it would be different for each individual person.
You want to maximize the resistance with your body weight? Put your feet up on a bench or couch and then do a pushup off the floor. The higher the feet, the more resistance. It will be similar to doing and incline press but you'll be able to get the weight from your legs more involved than you would a flat pushup.
You can also double the resistance by doing them one handed...which is good because you can use your off hand to give yourself a spot and force a couple more reps.
You can put something heavy in a backpack and wear it while doing pushups to add resisance too.
I had a roommate in college who was all into pushups. All he did was pushups. He'd make people stand on his back and do them.

Sly, just let Builder lay on your back like a three-toed sloth. While you're doing the push ups, he can be doing the slide ins.

Sorry Shrap...I only catch. Perhaps I could wrap my arms and legs around his torso and hang like a baby possum.
