During the All Star games of last year and when I saw the Jordan classic last year here in D.C. I though McCants would end up being the best freshman. Don't get me wrong all those kids are great but its something about this kid's game that's special. UNC better thank God he's not 6'6 right now or else this would be his last year for sure.

I know it's early, but DAYUMMMMMMMMMMM!
I haven't seen a UNC team this fast and athletic in years. McCants and Manuel I think would have been more than the difference in our exhibition lose.
PR, did you accept my last post about the bet? :D
Still our biggest problems will be depth and being consistant.

THey're plenty deep. The problem will be keeping everyone happy with the minutes they're getting.

depth and inexperience will cost some games this year, no doubt. But overall I'm pleased. I also agree that if McCants were 6'6" he'd be one and done. I feel confident that these guys are all atleast two year players. That's plenty of time to sure up some depth and get back to the top of the ACC. May has said over and over that his goal is to graduate, like his dad. I think an education is very important to him. McCants may be limited by size. He will have to play two guard at the NBA level so he needs work. Felton is the guy i fear losing early. He needs atleast two years but the draw of the NBA may take him before then. We'll see how that pans out though. I thought Manuel was a defensive nightmare for PSU tonight. Williams played a solid game with 7pts and 9rebs. This team is only legitimately 6/7 deep and that will cause problems eventually.

Dukie, congrats on that crushing victory! The Nittany Kittens were mere speed bumps on the Heels return to the Final Four! Seriously, Felton & McCants are for real. I liked May's Dad when he was at Indiana - reminds me of him.
If the Heels can keep up this level of play against sub-par competition, they should return to the top 1/2 of the ACC.
Fever, I'll have to go back to that thread on our bet...
Agreed these kids are at least two year players - not sure of their academic prowess - if they can stay eligible, they can do something.
If Doh could get them playing the way they did during their 18 game streak, they'll be formidable. He did that with dregs like Boone and Morrison. He actually has talent now - and if he can keep control of this team, and the kids are enjoying it - it would be a fun match-up with Duke...
Regardless, Casey Sanders will be taking it to the rack. Shav will light-up light blue...Dockery & Reddick will show who the true quality freshmen in the conference really are...
I love this time of year...

PR , I think the spread was 11.5, above that and you win, below that and I win?
And what would we bet? :)
