I am going to post some old album covers from back in the Day that I think you should check out. These are out of my pile.

This is what the original run of the LP looked like. All later reproductions were the standard black. The record companies spared no expense on the covers and LP's for a few years.

Dixie Chicken is great. You're making me want to go pull out some of mine. Sounds like you have a deeper collection, though.

Have you ever converted any of your albums to CD? I'm thinking about investing in some equipment.

Reb, my Dad's record collection has all those albums. (I remember having dreams that Russell was a wearwolf)

That's the one bad thing about CDs. The large canvas for art work is gone.

The second best thing about albums were the great artwork.

The "best" thing about old albums ( double ones at least) were the functional use for seeding pot.

When we were hard up for a hit "back in the day" we would gather up all the double albums we could find. Sometimes we could scrape up two or three bong hits out of all the creases.

:D

Reb, would you happen to know about an album that when you open it, it has a race car inside but the only thing is, the race car is shaped like a dick with wheels? Im not kidding. I use to have the album but my whole stack got ripped off back in the early 80's. I cant remember the name of the album or the group. I just remember what was on the inside lol.

This is the first time I have heard of that. If you ever find out let me know. I have ahd some great albums ripped off. One I would love to have back was by a group called Bloodwin Pig. It has the best blues song on it I have ever heard.
