I know some of you have mentioned drinking red bull and stuff like that. How many carbs does that stuff have? At my soccer game last night, one of the guys and his business partner brought some energy drinks with 8 calories and no carbs or caffiene. they tasted pretty damn good. Anybody interested in trying some?

red bull is nothing but a carb, I think

ok, i was wondering. Seems like he was saying that this drink was different because of the carbs. It was pretty good though. He said it uses ginseng (sp?) instead of caffiene like those other drinks.

what was the name of it and where did the 8 calories come from?

ginseng doesn't do jack for me.

i don't even remember the name. I'll try and get some more info after thanksgiving. Red bull had like 28 grams of carbs.

I felt more jacked up for the game. But, unfortunately for me, i don't have enough wind to waste all my energy.

WYDD, does your team still have a bunch of subs? Let me know if you ever need an extra player. My outside season is winding down.

we do for right now, but i'll see what i can do for next season. You a midfielder, cuz midfielders would be nice.

I can play anywhere, but usually play on the back line. I do have a good left foot though

i'll see what i can do. Our team captain has a hard time turning people down, so we usually have like 5-6 subs which is way too many. I'll let ya know.

It sounds like that drink Amway has come out with. I have a friend in Amway and they gave me one the other day. I forgot the name of it. But it only had 8 calories and 0 carbs, 0 fat. Had a lot of vitamins in it too, mostly B vitamins. I had the cranberry/grape flavor. It was pretty good but I didn't feel any energy rush.

I hope if there are any Amway people on here I don't insult them, but I don't want to give Amway one dime of my money.

Amway sucks as does Quikstar. I have lost friends that got suckered in and then were just too damn pushy.

If it was an energy drink it probably had both Ginseng and Guarana. Guarana is the natural term for ephedra. Ma Huang is another natural term for ephedra.

yeah, that sounds just like it. yuck. I don't wanna be a part of amway. I might be some from them, but i'm not gonna sell it. Didn't even think about that.

ma huang is ephedra...

a lot of those drinks have guarana in it...not sure what it does...probably just gives you expensive piss.

Amyway is the ultimate pyramid scheme. Grand Rapids, MI is the capital. I knew a lot of people who would buy the stuff thinking they would sell it and get rich...it is almost a cult IMO.

are you just looking for an energy drink with zero carbs? there are a ton of them out there that are ephedra based, caffeine based, and both based. A good cheap one is made by twinlab and you can buy 4 packs of it at Eckards for 3 dollars.

Also there is a drink at HT called Vitamin Water. Has all the electrolytes you need and no carbs or calories. This was a godsend for me because I was still very active when I was on my diet and suffered from muscle cramps occasionally. Basically this stuff is Gatorade with no carbs or calories.

Diet Chek and Diet Rite are both pretty good.

Atkins recommends Diet Rite because it has Splenda instead of Sacharin(sp?)

Diet Rite and Diet Check should be the same. Victor Posner essentially killed the RC brand and started selling syrup to private brand bottlers. That's why Arbys has RC, he owns them too.
