I have been thinking of giving this a try. With the recent good press it's received, I feel a little better about it. I like the idea of scarfing down meat and losing weight doing it.
So, how's it been? How fast do you see results? Is it hard to stick to?

I'm looking for the book to borrow without buying it. I think I'm gonna give it a shot too.

You still have about 6 doughnuts left in that box that you picked up this morning. You don't want them getting stale.

I was on it for 7 weeks and dropped 30 pounds. I am taking the holidays off (eating carefully) and back on it. 3 weeks off and within a lb or two of when I stopped

Well I just ordered the book from Amazon, $7.99. I should have it this time next week. In the meantime I'm just gonna watch what I eat and drink this weekend and try to stay as low carb as I know how.

It wasn't too hard but a little wierd to get started. It wants you to start by only taking in 20 grams of carbs a day. Not sure how long this period is. I stayed on 20 grams the whole 7 week period. I was away from home the entire time except for days of from ork so I ate out a lot. I would eat a lot of chicken breast grilled, salads (minus tomatoes, cukes, and carrots) with only Italian dressing. The resturant versions of Italian usually have sugars in them so be careful. Good Seasons Italian has none. Breakfast and lunchs were tricky. If I ate them out it was the bisquits minus the bisquit. Burgers, Chicken Wings (Texas Pete type) are all ok. Watch the cheese intake. Snacks were a lot of pork skins and the sliced pepperroni and lots of water. It called for no diet drinks but I cheated on that and drank diet dews. The carmel coloring in diet colas scared me a little even though it said they were carb free. I got used to drinking the Michalob Ultras (2.5 grams of carbs each) so if I went real well through the day at work I had a few of those with no problem. I excersised very little (walking mainly) as I work long days and didn't have much energy afterwords. I bet that it woule fall off a lot more if I had. I didn't want to lose too much too fast as with low carb diets it can come right back and heavier. I reintroduced carbs gradually and am watching what I eat and more importantly the amounts. I want to get down to my highschool graduating weight of 195. I really need to join a gym or Y as the weight I have lost makes for loose skin that needs tightening up a little. Once you get past the first week or so and find things that you can eat it's wasy enough. Wierd cravings though. I never was a big pear eater but I was craving them big time. Wierd diet that says no to fruit. I had a hard time giving up sugar in my coffee but it's been >2 months since I used it and don't miss it anymore

Well I hit my top weight of 250lbs on a 6' frame and said thats it. When you can put a name to the amount of weight (1/8th of a ton) you know its time to lose some tonnage. I never had blood pressure issues or anything just knew it wasn't healthy. Down to 220 now and will resume after the holidays going for 25 more.

I'm good as far as the coffee goes. I've been using Sweet n Low for years in my decaf. I have always been a person who would rather have a Dagwood sandwich rather than a piece of cake for dessert. I guess I like salty tastes more than I do sweet ones. Sounds like I might be able to stick to this fairly easily. Avoiding bread will be tough, but I really want to get down below 200. I'm 33 years old and I don't want to see my weight increase every year. I have a little girl to live for now.
