Actually, I have gone a year before. It's frustrating but not life threatening. Then if I ever do get any it's coming at me in all directions. Never evenly. Take this last break. After my recent breakup, i went 7 months with nothing. Then I had a hook up that weekend. When I got back home my roomate had a friend staying with us that week. She jumped my bones that night and we proceeded to have the best sex I have ever had all week long. So i got two in one week. That's the way it goes for me.

My drive seems to be the one waning just a bit, from stress and work.

It actually took me a long time to learn that.

I dated a lot of woman who were a bit more aggressive. Less uncertainty, less risk on my part. I hated rejection, so I took less risks. But those relationships often ended badly, for some reason. I hate to generalize, but it seemed they, and a couple in particular, had big issues with trust and anger.

Dated my wife, took a chance on someone. Was the aggresor for once.

My wife had that The Rules book, and that was one of the points. I laugh at her a bit, she broke most of them. Still, I suppose their may be a point in that psyco-analytical stuff.

The bottom line of the book was that men wanted the girl next door type still. I basically fell in love a girl next door type, at least outwardly. Funny thing is, I never saw myself with one of those.

Since just before my 21st birthday, I have not gone without the company of a gentleman caller for longer than a month.
