Well since this is up, I'll post this question I've been wondering about. Anybody got any ideas as to what the new team name will be??
Monarches ain't bad although it may be misspelled.
Cougars is ok.
Crown Royals would be my choice though.

I like Outlaws, but for some reason I'm doubting that one would be very high on Bob Johnson's list.

Cardinals - NC State Bird
Color Scheme:
Deep Black
Deep Red
Streaks of Panther Blue.
Cardinal - A mean ass looking one, not that pussy looking logo Arizona uses.
Oh yea, and they need to drop the Charlotte name, it will some forget about the "Charlotte" Hornets.
While I don't care one way or the other about the state of SC, they will be part of our fan base.

The team has to be the "Charlotte _____" That's how the franchise was awarded, so there will be no "Carolina" name for the team, otherwise Cougars would be sweet. I'll agree with Brain and sat we should be the Spiders, that way the new arena can be Charlotte's Web.

I like the Spiders as well, but still not completely sold on either one of them, but like it's my choice.

I've heard that before, but what rule says they can not say they want to be called the... "Carolina" wasn't the Panthers Expansion team awarded to "Charlotte"?
Anyway ... Charlottes's Web makes me think of that little girl in the story book.

I like Charlotte Vipers a lot, venom isnt bad either. I also like brain's idea for the colors, black, red and gunmetal gray. The uniforms would look sweet. As much as I HATE to say it, I wouldnt mind seeing some Cininatti Bearcat style uniforms. I hate the bearcats with a passion, but they have some nice uni's. Or we could just go along with the BET theme and be the Charlotte Iced Out Gangstaz Ballin Outta Control. :cool:
