I don't like to list sophomores and freshmen...they may be prospects, but they haven't "done it" yet.

It's all according Braves. I was a freshman when I pitched in a upper-state championship game.
If they have played on the varsity and experienced playoff action and held their own, they are in.;)

Braves, I gotta agree with Applejack.
If pitching was easy then every pitcher would have an E.R.A. under 1.00 and baseball would resemble soccer (Lord forbid).
If an underclassman has proved himself against competition, then let us acknowledge it and continue to root for him.
The reality is that, regardless of work, talent and intensity, younger pitchers have more "off-days" than their elder kin. I hope everyone who gets the privilege of seeing a younger pitcher "thrown to the wolves" this season understands that pitching is about keeping your team in games "over the long haul", not an individual game's performance.
The only sports position that has the difficulty of being a pitcher is being a quarterback. A quarterback will "handle" the ball less than 50 times per game and 35 or so will be hand-offs to other players. A pitcher has to go right at his opponent usually over 100 times a game. It takes a special mental toughness and it should be recognized.
Okay..okay..okay
But AJ, they were recruiting you in the 8th grade. You don't count :D I wish you would share some of your history with the posters...and don't be so darn humble!!!
You've got a lot of info to share with everyone from recruitment in HS to pitching against Randy Johnson ( and beating him I might add)
Please don't be shy with your response

There was a guy that I played with named Benny Distefano and his favorite line was " I'm tired of talking about me, why don;t you talk about me for a while."
Braves you know that is not my style besides it hurts too much when I pat myself on the back.;)
I do not mind sharing info but I would rather answer questions.
Besides you are lurking in the shadows also, you do not have the Braves handle for nothing. There is a legitimate reason people. Come on out with it.:D :D
