now, it's coming out that the husband was having an affair. What a chump. I even thought his behavior was odd. I really hope they find out what happened to her.

OK, I know that taking out a life insurance policy on someone is a big red flag when the person comes up missing/dead soon after, and I'm certainly not saying that this guy is above suspicion.

Just for argument's sake, though, what's horrible about taking out a life insurance policy on your wife soon after she becomes pregnant (aside from the fact that now she's missing and may be dead)? I mean, it seems like a smart precaution...there are complications during child birth that can be life threatening; I don't know if Laci was pulling in any income, but presumably the idea is that now that there's a child in the picture, there would be a bigger financial burden for the remaining spouse if one of them died, so the life insurance could help take care of the kid.

That said, yeah. I think he's going down.

He is dead wrong if he thinks he can`t be charged without a body being found.

Last week, they thought they found a body in the same body of water where he supposedly went fishing. I thought he was busted for sure, but it turned out to be a boat anchor, not a body.

As this is pretty close to my neck of the woods, it's all over the news here. I haven't heard many people talking about it yet, but the few I have are beginning to think he's guilty, or at least very suspicious.

If he is guilty, though, I'll give him this: he put one heck of a snow job over on his mother-in-law. She had his back as soon as he was named a suspect by Modesto PD.

Now they think Scott Peterson may be involved with the disappearance of a fellow college student, Kristin Smart, at Cal Poly seven years ago.
