Cherokee legend: When someone takes your pic, it steals a part of your soul. My mom's whole family is camera shy. I only have about 5 pics of her taken in her whole lifetime. They knew it was a silly legend but it stuck. I guess it was passed on to us kids. That plus the fact I am the least fuckin' photogenic person in the world tends to make me avoid the camera like a case of the crabs.

I teach model making on Wednesdays from 2-5 and run the laser lab at the COA from 6-9. But I got out early tonight. :D

When I saw that camera I started hiding anywhere and everywhere. In a few I'm just out of the pic..... in one all you can see is the back of my head. Too many years of dodging pics and it just becomes second nature.

If you got a chubby face, the best way to get your picture taken is to stick your face forward and give a slight turn of the head. Eliminates the double chin, and makes the face look leaner. I thought no way, you'll see the face poking forward. And it feels awkward. But, lo and behold, it works. Try it the next time and look at the results. You'll be proud to have your picture taken.
