northwestern conference tourney

Any predictions on the NWC tourney in Icard...Mcdowell
has the bye, after edging Reynolds in Fairview tonight,
to complete the regular season undefeated in the NWC.

freedom and reynolds will play first round games at home, versus either alexander or watauga, depending on how the tiebreaker goes for the 6 and 7 seeds... freedom should win easily, as should reynolds...

that should put acr and freedom playing each other in the second round... personally, i think reynolds will beat freedom this time... 3rd time's a charm... but, freedom has played very well against acr this year, so, they may have it in them to shut reynolds down again...

meanwhile, east burke and south could go either way... can south beat eb 3 times in a row?? on paper, i think east should be able to win 1 out of 3 with south... but, what part will emotions play here... will eb care?? will they play with heart?? i mean, their season is practically over... they will not make the playoffs, so will they try to salvage a little respect, or just roll over and hang up the shoes for the season... i assume the game is at south?? tough place to play....

regardless, if east or south wins, mcdowell should handle them easily in round 2...

i predict mcdowell and acr in the finals... i think mcdowell would win that game as well, but if anyone can pull the upset i think acr is that team...

first round games played on monday night... this will be at the higher seeds gym...

acr will host watauga or alex. central
freedom will host watauga or alex. central
south will host east burke...
mcdowell has a bye

games should be 7:00


wednesday, round 2 games... all held at east burke... i imagine 1st game at 6:30, with game 2 immediately following...

friday night, championship... 6:30...

times could be wrong, but this was the basic schedule last year, so i imagine it would be the same... if someone else has a more definite schedule, please feel free to correct this one...
