I bought a loaf of low carb soy bread yesterday. I would imagine that cardboard tastes very similar...had I ever eaten cardboard, of course.

I bought a low carb wheat bread that was actually tasty and stayed fresh for a long time. Right there on my grocer's shelf.

I knew you were gonna ax me dat.

The wheat bread is Nature's Own Reduced Carbohydrate Premium Wheat and it's 7g per slice. Real good flavor and stays fresh.

If you prefer white bread, Sunbeam makes a sour dough lite bread that is 10g per slice. I'm of the opinion that pb&j and grilled cheese belong on white bread. :)

Thanks my Muff.:)

This soy stuff is costing me 6 bucks a loaf but, it only has 3 gm of Carbs. I made me a turkey and pepper jack sandwich for lunch today. The pepper jace flavor overrides the cardboard effect.

Oh and ditto on the white bread for PB&J and cheese. Don't forget banana & peanut butter too.

Try the low carb stuff. Atkins has it but the shipping for perishable items is like 23.00. I went to the local Nature's Supermarket and picked up a loaf of soy low carb. If you doctor it up, it ain't too bad. I needed something to carry for lunch so I do an Atkins bar for breakfast and sammich for lunch.

i dont eat much at all. i may have some peanuts or cheese during the day. maybe get some double-cheeseburger patties from mcdonalds at night. i'll have a bowl of lettuce and some chicken wings when i get home.

i stay under 30g for the day.

I was looking for something to make pizza crust out of and came across some recipes made with soy flour. Haven't tried the pizza crust yet, but whipped up some pancakes. Let me tell you that is some nasty smelling batter! The next batch, I mixed half soy flour and half wheat flour for the pancakes. Not too shabby, but it needs something. Still working on it. When I give the pizza crust a try, I'll let you know how that turns out.

Is the bread you're buying Ezekiel bread?
