Some games are becoming significant, others are intriguing and still others are down-right fun. Here is the week in high-light.
Tuesday: 03/25:
Central Cabarrus vs Independence Battle for the lead in the Meca8
East Burke vs Alexander Central Two fine programs in a power-packed NW4A conference
Northwest Cabarrus @ West Rowan One of these two should be the conference champs in the NPC (but watch out for Mooresville)
South Point at Ashbrook Two top teams in Big South 3A face-off
Wednesday 03/26:
East Henderson at West Henderson These two teams know each other very well. Great battle in the mountains
Thursday 03/27:
Hopewell vs Independence Crucial test for Hopewell team against strong Independence squad
Friday 03/28
Alexander Central @ N Forsyth Intriguing Non-conference matchup between 2 4A conferences
East Burke vs McDowell NW4A - 'nuff said
Saturday 03/29
Charlotte Christian @ Fort Mill Christian faces off against one of the best teams in the state of South Carolina. Fort Mill is currently ranked #2 in the SC 4A Coaches Poll.
This looks to be an exciting week. If you know the pitching match-ups, please post them here.

I feel that the following two games this week are crucial games for South Meck as well:
Tuesday, 3/25
South Meck vs East Meck @ South - Also, two fine programs in a power-packed SW4A conference.
Thursday, 3/27
South Meck vs. Myers Park @ South - Again, another two fine programs in a power-packed SW4A conference.
Both of the two above games will be very competitive and tense games for all teams involved.
NCBBALLFAN, the Northwest Cabarrus/West Rowan games "should" decide the NPC championship this spring. Mooresville has been playing well, but NW/WR are on another level...
This Tuesday's game (NW/WR) will be a great one to see if anyone wants to just get out and watch a great ballgame between 2 of the best 3A teams in the state...

I agree Wuf... The Dalton/Adams matchup is one of the most exciting of the week. If you could see only one game this week, this may be the one.
The East/West Henderson game matchup features players who have played with/against each other all their lives too. They are playing great ball up there (but you have to give the nod to West in that game).
Let's here some other starter's schedules so we can figure out some more great matchups. Of the top pitchers, who is going out when?
You gotta figure Wes McCall is taking the hill Tuesday versus South Point. Who is on the mound for South Point?
SW4A Matchups (as seen from afar)
The East Meck/South Meck game is important this week in the SW4A, as is the Myers Park/South Meck game. South Meck's two starters (Worrell/Vartanian) should go out in those matchups. East Meck has Burnham/Buchanan, Myers Park has Woodard/Wilson. My guess is that Wilson will pitch tuesday against Olympic and Woodard start against South Meck. Vartanian should start against East Meck, Worrell against Myers Park. Burnham should pitch against South Meck, Buchanan against Butler later in the week. I don't have a Providence schedule, but they do have a good non-conference game against Mt. Pleasant (if it isn't cancelled due to make-up games).

Meca8 Matchups
I don't have all of the schedules for this conference either and I am guessing about all these games. Late week and Saturday games has played havoc with the rotations/matchups.
Tuesdays games:
North Meck vs Harding: Pierce vs Quinn ?
West Meck vs Hopewell: uncertain
Independence vs Central Cabarrus: Holt for Indy, CC ?
West Charlotte vs Vance: Brown for Vance?
Thursdays games:
Independence vs Hopewell: Cruse vs Farry ?
West Meck vs Vance: Butler vs Breece ?
North Meck vs West Charlotte: Porter s/b back for NM
Central Cabarrus vs Harding: uncertain
Zach Butler and Tom Porter are probably burned until Thursday after that barn burner against each other on Saturday. A lot of other Tuesday starters went to the mound on Friday, messing up the team pitching rotations in all of the rain. With no games schedule (so far) on friday, teams may be able to get their rotations back on track by the following tuesday. Some teams may be squeezing in a 3rd conference opponent this week.
Out of conference games: NM travels to Ashbrook (who is hitting like crazy). Soph Zack Rosenbaum will probably get his first varsity start of the season against a very tough opponent.

Cruse started on Friday against Vance, but I don't know how many innings he pitched. If his arm isn't fully recovered yet, you may get Bush as the starter. If they pulled him early, Cruse should be back on his normal tuesday rotation.
while i am not the coach this game looks like a match up of Dec. Impact Baseball Showcase top 10 prospect from E. Burke, senior Jeremy Yoder vs ACHS junior ace Matt Payne. This game will be worth the travel and price of admission.

South Point @ Ashbrook 7:00
Probable starters: SP - Springs, A - McCall (McCall pitched three innings on Sat. and may not be ready to go the distance on Tues.)

Also in the NW4A on Wednesday there should be another good matchup on the mound. The Spartans travel to East Burke in what should be a great game. The Spartans will likely throw the Junior Reid, and East Burke will throw either Yoder or Stewart to great righties.

goes to Myers Park against South Meck.
Myers Park will start Robert Woodard
South Meck will start TJ Worrell
This one should be fun.... (unless you go to MP or SM)
