What a year for 2006 pitchers.......freshmen that have experience and work extremely hard include: Gina Allen(CC), Katie Carrick(Forestview), Morgan Mayer(Hunter Huss) to name a few and hope others will add more to this exciting list!

I think Alexander Central's freshman Emily Pierce has shown and will continue to show a major presence in NW4A. She will also be pitching and playing 1st base for Red Magic 14U.

Emily Pierce is going to be right there...........witness her several times and hope to see her more during the summer/fall season as well! Do you know of any others in your area (FR) who are pitching well?

There are a few that I know of in the SWAAAA'
Emiliy Jeferies and Jenna Stiles are both at Butler, they have Great work ethics and are begining to see their work pay off.
Mallory Bendig, a Freshman at Providence. She throws hard and has good control.
Caroline McCann also at Prov. has a bright future. She has great controll of her breaking pitches, works hard an can hit her spots about 90% of the time.
All of these young ladys have been pitching in Middle school and on summer teams for two or three years, and have a bright future in our sport,
I wish them and all of our freshmen class pitchers the best of luck and a safe and sucessful season.

I know you have played alot of top-notch non-conference games this year, just as you have for years, but are you guys playing in an Easter Tournament this year? And if so, please post! I am ole friends of probably one of your neighbors......eudy's, rogers scroggins .......;) and would love to see Colts play during the holiday! The state pollsters, who some reason, dont realize just how great the Colt Program is and will contiune to be.........but alot of fans of the game do...........Top 5!

CFBALL & DAWGFAN,
THANKS FOR THE COMPLIMENTS ON OUR PROGRAM, WE ARE WORKING HARD. WE ARE NOT PLAYING IN ANY EASTER TOURNAMENTS THIS YEAR. CHELSEA IS THE YOUNG LADY WHO PITCHED BOTH GAMES AGAINST BUTLER. SHE STRUGGLED YESTERDAY, BUT DOES HAVE A GREAT FUTURE AHEAD OF HER. DAWGFAN, YA'LL PLAYED GREAT YESTERDAY..WE ARE LOOKING FORWARD TO PLAYING AGAIN.

Thanks lady colt
After the practices we had this week we figured we were gonna get beat bad, they suprised us a little also. Wes and Barry are trying to work out at least one more meeting. The two games against your colts have been two of the better contests we have had. We each have a win so the next meeting should realy be fun.
Both treams should be up for it. When we play come over and say Hello I coach first. Its always fun to put a face on someone you have spoke with on TBR.
Good luck today Hope both teams chalk up a big W.
Ray

Add Abby Walls out of C'ville to the list. Works hard, good pop, and is working on her breaking pitches. Is 4-1 for C'ville

Indeed, alot of young rookie hs pitchers but an experienced and seasoned bunch of dedicated "players" who are a joy to watch!

Kristyn Funderburke, freshman, of Kings Mountain is pitching almost every game for the Mountaineers. Great control and very effective off speed stuff. This goes along with 5 other freshman starters.
Morgan Childers is a very good 8th grade pitcher on the way for KM and she brings another quality group of players with her.

I have to agree with camamman on KF and MC, pitchers for Kings Mtn, two bright pitching stars in Cleveland County! I hope both will learn all the pitches as the hitters across our state are better and better each year! Keep us posted on their progress and stats!
