Just when you thought Center Cityfest -- oh wait, it's called City Fest Live! now -- was a bust, the
organizers go and break off a bit of "Bawitdaba."

While the lineup for the April 26-28 uptown festival has read like a refresher in music that used to be
cool -- Styx and Jethro Tull, for example -- organizers just announced additions that could jazz up the
problem-plagued fest.

Among the newly unveiled performers are trailer park poster child Kid Rock, alternative elder
statesmen Smithereens, home-grown Hootie & the Blowfish, nu-metal rockers Static X and Jerry
Cantrell (former guitarist for Alice in Chains).

They join previously announced acts No Doubt, Flickerstick, Stone Temple Pilots, Bush, Acoustic
Syndicate and Leftover Salmon, among others.

While the location is the same (Cedar and Morehead streets), organizers say changes are afoot in
response to complaints from last year. They will limit the number of tickets sold, provide shuttles and
add two video screens to the main stage area.

Three-day tickets are $25 through Sunday. Starting Monday, three-day passes are $35. Single-day
advance tickets are $20 until April 25 (they increase to $25 on April 26). On April 26, three-day passes
cost $40.

Tickets are available at Ticketmaster outlets (and www.ticketmaster.com), www.cc.com or (704)
522-6500. Details: www.cityfestlive.com.

Just curious, with Kid Rock in town, does that mean I have a slim chance of catching Pamela Anderson in our hometown crowd or God forbid see her out at bars that weekend with her facial hair challenged rockstar. A boy and his camera can dream cant they!

Oh man. Disco Bisquits will be there too. Cool.

I'll definately be there on Saturday, maybe stay for the next day too.
