I don't like baseball but I do enjoy going to a ballpark every now and then.

My favorite team, if it matters is Boston Red Sox. (Trot Nixon) I played high school football with his older brother.

I have not followed baseball since I was a teenager. And yes that was a long time ago.

I love all sports and really loved baseball in the 70's. I lost interest when everyone involved seemed to get too greedy. Maybe this forum will get me excited about it again.

Cincinnati Reds was my team back then. But I can't even tell you who plays where now.

while the 70's were al while ago, the postions have stayed the same. you get 1 pitcher, 1 catcher, 1 each at 1st, 2nd, and 3rd. A shortstop and 3 outfielders.

:D That's not what I meant Bunky! I mean I don't know very many names of players or what teams they play for.

I did hear that Rocker guy was signed by the Rays, and he got moved to Durham.

This was going to sound a lot like "Who's on first?" gig.

He was on the first team I really remember watching. I was a big fan of his, Andres Thomas, Ken Oberkfelt (sp) and Glenn Hubbard. They've been my favorite ever since.

no bust on your phillies bro, but its about damn time. the dodgers have the best era bullpin, and we have a shitty record. our bullpin era is 0.97 or some sick shit like that. its depressing...for years we haven't gone after offense, and for years we just suck.

how bout the phillies fans booed the batboy, wtf is up with that??

Braves...there was nothing like buying tix for the upper deck in old Fulton County and ending up behind the dugout by the end of the game. Wait you can do that at Turner field now too.:D

As a youngster, I came home every day and watched the Cubs on WGN. I saw every one of Ryne Sandberg's 40 HR's that year on tv, except for 2 I saw in person at Fulton Co. Stadium. I love the Cubs, and we may actually whip some serious ass this year.

I also root hard core for Marlon Byrd who plays CF for the Phillies. I covered the Intimidators when he was there, and he was a good guy, so I hope he wins the MVP, yet I also hope the Phillies lose every game. Well, except for the ones Millwood plays in, since he's from 'round here. I root for Ray Durham for the same reason.

Oh yeah, and anybody who doesn't like the Cubs just because they installed lights at Wrigley, can kiss my ass.

YANKEES.For a long time.Since the days of Mantle,Maris,Ford,Berra,Richardson, and Howard to name a few.Pulled for them through some great years and a lot of lean years. The good years returned in the mid 90's,hope they continue for many years to come.

Especially enjoyed the eight game winning streak they have going against the Braves in World Series play.Joe Torree loves to see Bobby Cox in the opposing dugout.

Nope you aren't the only Cards fan on here. I was raised in Illinois where you were either a Cards or Cubs fun and I wasn't going to root for the Cubs!
