Family to turn their late Mama into Diamonds . . . WTF ? ? ?

The youngest son of a lady who died in Charlotte earlier this year wants to use some of her remains to make diamonds as a memorial to her . . . Sounds kinda creepy, but then again at least he's not going to put her in a deep freeze like Ted Williams kid did :) :) . . .

I read the article. I think it's a rather beautiful idea. IMO It's better than keeping an urn with his/her ashes in it. I don't know that I'd go so far as to wear the gem or gems but I'd have it set in a ring and kept someplace safe. :)

if that's what my parents requested I'd do it... hopefully most people talk enough to their loved ones to know their opinions on this... if I didn't know then I'd have to say I'd go with the default ground burial.
