I am a purist, so I hate it. The main problem is that it lasts WAY to long, it probably wouldnt be so bad if they just did it for maybe a week at the most.

Love it. Gives me something new instead of the same boring match-ups year after year. Plus those dream matchups for some people like Yankees-Cubs, Yankees-Mets, the Cali teams facing each other is just overall better for baseball.

i think it makes for great match-ups that normally you wouldn't get to see. Just this year for example we get to see Oakland-San Fran, and the Yankees in Wrigley Field. As far as the scheduling complaints Steinbrenner had, and I'm sure several other teams agree with. They need to look at it over several years. Yes, the Yankees do have a tougher interleague schedule than the Red Sox this year, as I'm sure several of the top teams in many divisions do. However, go back to last year where the Sox had a home and home with the Braves and played the D'Backs, and I forget the other top team they mentioned on Bball Tonight last night. Over the course of a few years, all the scheduling works itself out. NOW, bring on the interleague play.

Back when the idea was first being proposed, I hated it. But I hated the idea of re-alignment too. I got used to both of them eventually, and I actually enjoy watching inter-league now. It's fun to see different teams in the mix. But I agree, it does last too long.

maybe baseball should go to a completely interleague schedule, like the nfl and base the coming year's schedule on strength of schedule/finish.

I hated it at first because I always wanted the Series to match 2 teams that haven't played, but I've enjoyed seeing some of the interleague series. It's been a pretty good shot in the arm for MLB.

I do think it takes away a bit from the WS. I dont like it.

The only places it matters is where there are two teams in the same general region; Met-Yankees, As-Giants, Angels-Dodgers, Cardinals-Royals and Cubs-White Sox. Who would care to see the Braves and Seattle battle it out other than for the World Series?

Perhaps they should play interleague "rival" games as part of an exhibition season at their home parks and not in Florida or Arizona.

The DH is communist - some of these pitchers can hit! Mike Mussina comes to mind.
