Lex this is serious. :D Do you know how many songs are in my top five. Oh, probably a hundred so far. I don't want anyone throwing this in my face later:D :D

1. Running to a Stand Still- U2
2. I Scare Myself- Thomas Dolby
3. Three Days/Then She Did- Janes Addiction
4. I Confess-The English Beat
5. Lamb Lies Down on Broadway-Genesis
Bunk, I figured your favorite Jane's song would be Standing in the Shower Thinking. I'm sure Nothing Shocking has to be your favorite Jane's album though. It's one of my top 5.

But I"m pretty partial to Ritual's 2nd side. And I like the first janes Addiction pretty well too. Actually all 3 albums are worthy of top 10 status in my book.

My fav Jane's Addiction song is Pigs in Zen.
I'd have to add to my list "the pod" by Hum. That song just plain kicks ass.
go ahead and strike everlong... :)
i'm going to have to divide these up into different categories, but for now, let's say my top 5 is:
the cult -- she sells sanctuary
rem -- king of birds
seal -- crazy
stereo mcs -- connected
prince -- seven
that's just right now and just because i started trying. i could make a top-5 list for each day of the month and it'd be hard to pick out which one is the real one.
Metallica--Nothing Else Matters
U2--One
R.E.M.--E-bow the letter
Blue Oyster Cult--Don't Fear the Reaper
Eagles--Hotel California
this is just a reminder that this is top 5. reb, you got to post 4 and 5 still. this is like "pulling teeth!" (a friend once told me that).
#4 and #5, reb. post, dammit! ;)

In no specific order...
*Arms Wide Open - Creed: It was so horribly overplayed on the radio, but it's timing with the birth of my son was perfect.
*Jump Around - House of Pain: It's the party anthem of me and my crew.
*Whatever - Godsmack: Just gets me all amped up!
*Iris - Goo Goo Dolls: Reminds me of my Great Grandmother and how much I love and miss her.
*I'd Die Without You- PM Dawn: For the wifey.
Actually, these are the ones that came to me at the time. It really depends on my mood.
Larry, ANYTHING by the Cult is Grade A in my book! I want to buy a plastic fantastic lobster telephone, but nobody carries them?

"I don't remember saying any of your top five blew chunks or anything. I don't recall saying your joints looked like shit....."
Damn Reb, you're one eloquent and sweet-talkin' son-of-a gun.
:D :D
It's all clear Lex. I was wondering what you were doing up at that time of the morning. I wouldn't be responsible either.
So my #5 is going to be Jimi Hendrix- Voodo chile.
I tried to get in a bunch of stuff, Freedom as sort of Folk, and a woman (EmmyLou) and the blues and jazz rock and heavy stuff like Hendrix. It's a begining.
I mean where the hell is "Louie Louie"
:D
:invasion: cool beans :jump:
Top five of all time? I don't think I can limit them like that. Three or four of mine would be old country music anyway.

3. Rock-n-Roll All Nite - KISS
4. Brown Sugar - Stones

then days later, and 50 posts later, you finish your list! heh? :p

See him wasted on the sidewalk in his jacket and his jeans
Wearin' yesterday's misfortunes like a smile
Once he had a future full of money love and dreams
Which he spent like they was going out of style
And he keeps right on a changin' for the better or the worse
And searchin' for a shrine he's never found
Never knowin' if believin' is a blessin' or a curse
Or if the going up is worth to coming down
He's a poet he's a picker he's a prophet he's a pusher
He's a pilgrim and a preacher and a problem when he's stoned
He's a walking contradiction partly truth and partly fiction
Taking every wrong direction on his lonely way back home
He has tasted good and evil in your bedrooms and your bars
And he's traded in tomorrow for today
Runnin' from the devils Lord and reachin' for the stars
And losin' all he loved along the way
But if this world keeps right on turning for the better or the worse
All he ever gets is older and around
From the rocking of the cradle to the rolling of the hearse
The going up was worth the coming down
He's a poet he's a picker...
There's lotta wrong directions on that lonely way back home
careful lex, what I do should only be done by professionals. You don't want to get folks hurt now do you.
says reb.
shit, i forgot about that! listen to the pro, couz!
wear your football helmet while you post! one can never be too careful. :D dont want you throwin that in my face later!

Wow -

in no particular order :
My Old School - Steely Dan ( hard to pick just one)
Trampled Under Foot - Led Zeppelin ( see above )
(I Know) I'm Losing You - Rod Stewart
Tempted - Squeeze ( Paul Carrack was the best singer they had)
Some Kind of Wonderful - Grand Funk Railroad
damn thats five and there is not a single Santana song on there.
and I wouldn't know which one to pick anyway.
