With Incentives, probably more than a cool mil a year (http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/news/ap/20020211/ap-redskins-lewis.html)

Could make close to what Fox makes without the head coach pressure... but then again, he is going to work for Snotter.

I'm not a Skins fan but they are going to kick ass next year. Spurrier will be a great NFL coach. His offense combined with Lewis' defense, and the star talent to do the work? Scary!

They'll need a QB.

This guy kills me. Talking smack about supposedly genius coaches who think they're coming up with new stuff. Here's a direct quote about Spurrier...

"And that, ladies and geniuses, is why they play the game.

Rams coach Mike Martz stubbornly stuck with the pass and played right into the Pats' hands.
These would-be football geniuses kill me. Don't they kill you?

They come along now and then, like Mr. Mike Martz. Before the game teaches them the basic humility needed for any martial art, you can almost hear 'em thinking, "Oooo, my system is so smooth. Oooo, lookit. I made separation. I made open space. I. I. I. My scheme is so sweet."

Know who's next in line? Spurrier. And we encourage them. Media types. "Brilliant scheme. Yada-yada."

Most of them forget there are no new things. Not in football."

I tend to agree with him. I think Spurrier will have a hard time adjusting to the Pro level. He's not a god there...and can't run the program like he's running the boy's dorm at the univ.

I tend to agree with your statements... I was a late bloomer in the anti Martz campaign. Happened towards the end there when he played starters that had no need or benefit from being on the field. Maybe he had gotten in an ego battle with Warner's back up and Trung... ?
