TRUTH DETECTOR..........Richmond, Anson & some other teams won't play us. Anson tried to drop us last year. This year was hard to find teams that will play us. I think....I speak for all the Chargers we look foward in playing Marlboro County, no matter who wins.

A serious question for Crest fans. Why does Crest play a 10 game regular season instead of 11 games that most teams in the state play?
It looks like they would play 11 since the state now allows you to drop 1 non conference loss each season if you play 11 games. This has not hurt Crest lately since they have not lost a nonconference game in a number of years, but if they slip and lose one it will hurt them in their playoff seedings.
Will someone explain why they continue to play a 10 game regular season schedule?

Coach Kirby tries to find 11 games but it just doesn't come together. This year he had Scotland County, but when the NCHSAA pushed back the start of the regular season Scotland had to drop because of conflicts. He then thought he had a game with Mount Tabor. Someone in the Athletic Department agreed to the game, but when the Head Coach found out he said no way. The schools that will play Crest are usually booked up and others won't play them because they say they get to beat up going into the con. season. The last few years Kirby has scrambled to find a 10th game. Just like this season with Marlboro County. I heard It's just a one year deal with Crest going down there. Crest would like to see a game with Freedom, it became such a great rilvary in the NW4A, but they've never been able to work it out.
