my thoughts exactly! the sox would be killer if they just had a solid bullpen. then theres also the fact that they score like .001 runs per game. glad to see youre a sox fan and not a cubs fan. hey, they can still sweep the cubbies, they play another series next weekend.
GO SOX!!
Good job to the White Sox. As a Cubs fan, I'll admit they spanked us big time.
I'm hoping for a return of the same favor next weekend. :D

...bbut my question is this...why is Manuel lifting Colon? did he have a blister? PMS? jockitch? what? Colon in the late frames is still dealing mid 90's...and obviously the Cubs couldn't hit him--they only had what, 3 hits? (I could be wrong about that number) I don't want to start the Fire Manuel train, but I wouldn't be surprised to hear it firing the engines a little louder now. That was just wrong. That loss ruined my entire sunday....until Robby Gordon passed Harvick under yellow, and that took my mind of fof it....but thats another story for another forum.

I thought the same thing. But what the heck, if it benefits the Cubs, I'm all for it. :D
Seriously, I remember reading in Chicagosports.com that Colon had asked Manuel to have the bullpen ready before he went out that inning. He knew he was getting tired and wanted to have the bullpen ready.
It was just a bad situation where he was tired (and the Cubs might have hit him hard) but bringing in the wrong reliever made it a bad decision.
