interleague play has reached a OVERsatuation point?

Sure there are some great logical matchups.

for example,

Yanks-Mets
Cubs-White Sox
Reds-Indians
Royals-Cards

but I personally don't need to these teams play more than once a year.

In addition, the trash matchups, like.....

Reds-Devil Rays
Reds-Blue Jays

do NOTHING to interest me.......and I am a baseball fan.

Bottom line, its a great concept that has simply been overextended. Of course, I realize every team has different rivalries but, once again as a Reds fan, I don't care to see them against any AL team but the Indians........unless of course it is in the World Series.

PS - Sorry Mike for borrowing off of one of your subject lines. I'm not very creative today and it just seemed to fit.

...i am flattered that someone is borrowing one of my subject lines...still want my own personal avatar though....anyway...

I agree that ionterleague has its dull moments (can't wait for another D-Rays v Padres series...remember back in the day when Tampa and San Diego battled year after year for the title?) the logical matchups are perfect, and there are others that make some sense....Boston v. Mets/Yanks v. Dodgers etc...heck even Cubs v tigers would be good (Cubs faced detroit last tiume the cubs were in the series). There is no perfect solution to interleague play....the logicals should stay, but how do you balance the rest of the schedule? I have no clue either. This is one of the few, and I do mean F-E-W things that Bud-weiser Selig has done for baseball that I think is good. It's a good idea, with plenty of room for improvement. Just my .02

And I have a question...am I eligible for the TBR fun this weekend? I may need a release after moving into my new apartment Saturday.....any moving volunteers??? :D
