Just saw a press release that said Army is dropping out of Con. USA and will pursue football as an Indy.

Is this the start of a Big East/Con. USA merge?

Saw a blurb about this in the USA TODAY this morning. The bottom of Conf USA was in serious trouble before the ACC/Big East fiasco though. Army, Tulane, UAB - they were/are all having financial trouble. Army can now schedule like Navy has - which is to downgrade the schedule even further.

:D You in that mode already too? I swear I can't help but see dollar signs when those schools play other teams that are just middle of the road even. Except ND. I'll take the 30 or so I get with Navy whenever they play ND. But the BC's of the world usually beat the shit out of the academies.
