I didn't think it was possible, but last night I saw a band that anyone can have a good time watching regardless of music preference. Flogging Molly is their name, go burn some stuff of theirs. It's basically an Irish drinking band. It's Celtic punk, hard driven fast paced songs, fused with flutes, trumpets, violins, accordians, and even a mandolin. I've never heard anything quite like it. Check em out.

I like alternative instrumentation in a rock/pop setting so I'll give it a try.

There's accordion in there. I dunno if that's what you're after or not.
as I listen there's a violin in there I think. maybe Viola. Dunno.

There's like 8 people the band, all from Ireland. They have a drummer, electric guitar, singer plays acoustic, bass, accordian, trumpet, banjo, mandolin, and this chick kicks ass on the violin and something called a tin whistle. The crowd was all over the board. You had everything from spiked mohawks to derby wearing scotsman. A lot of fighting and a lot of drinking. Ar, me felt like I was in Ireland.

mags, salty dog friggen rocks! so primal!!! hahaha...i can dig this...celtic tunes rule. viola? its the viola! not the accordion...accordion is percussion, isnt it....i definitely hear some sort of weird string instrument... :D

is it multitonic? Sounds real strange, starts off the song with the guitar?
