Ok, it was just a guess. All the numbers were the same just before your first post here. A split second later I noticed one of the numbers had changed. I guessed it was your vote.

Unfortunately, or fortunately, depending on the way you look at it, my salary is public record.
$54,848 + benefits.
Nothing to bragg about, except the cost of living here is very low.
Now if my wife pulled in that much, we'd be sorta well off considering our expenses.
Our children will attend public school next year because we can't afford private any longer, and tha school system is horrid here. Very.:(

looking back, you should have had 2 other choices:
0 (nothing - I don't work, I mooch)
Over 100K
Where's the option of "None of your fucking business"?

Harnett County is where I live, Harnett county school sytem.
I do not work in Harnett County, but I have and the pay sucks compared to the state and surrounding counties.
They've made decent strides in recent years and my kids will be attending brand new schools to be opened this year. Let's hope all goes well, or I'll have to give up music for a part-time job and put them back in ptivate school. Fuck that, I'll just have to get more gigs. Like at old folk's dances at the local moose lodges. They pay very well, but walses ain't fun to play all night at all- but it is better than flippin burgers.

54K is "low"? You're obviously not a nurse.
one reason I started this thread is because my sister in law is paying about $5000 bucks to have this artist from Texas fly in and do a painting of her kids. I was like "holy shit" even if I had that much to throw around, I would feel guilty paying that much for a picture when others are trying to get by. I just hope they are giving that much to the church or a charity also. That is burning $$ IMO. If I was a freakin billionaire, I would not spend $5000 dollars on two pictures of my kids.

Looks like Photogay's been way undercharging customers. No finance problems for him if he was getting that kind of smackers.

No, I'm not. But I manage a big depart, have a hell of a responsibilty, work many more than 40 hrs/week, have a 4 yr degree, and have been at the same job for 15 yrs.
I could probably go somewhere else for more, but my wife refuses to move. We help her parents keep up their farm, etc., and the trade off is free day care (after school and summers.)
And it is low, after house payment, taxes, family ins., car pmts, food for two boys, etc.
That and a wife who likes to buy shit.
And I like tools and airplanes. And expensive music equip.

Little shit like flowers, knick knacks, paintings, new rugs, and such. Bad thing its always something I gotta hang, put together, plan, install, etc. Hence my infauation with hand and garden tools.;)
That's how I get 'em. I say, "you want that, baby?"
"yes, I HAVE to have it!"
So I say, "well, I gotta have that _____ to make it happen.";)
unfortunately, i'm in the low 30s and gina makes $8/hour working part-time at a jewelry shop. she also tutors three kids a week for $30/hour.
we were making MUCH better money in charlotte.
it's really not even funny to think about cutting your combined salary in half.
I'm not sure if I make 20. I haven't actually figured it up.

Yeah, I don't think I even make $20k before taxes. That was the best option though. One day...

Are we talkin individually or 'household'. Cause I thought he meant individually.
I would really be surprised if all that many people on this board made over 6 figures per year. I would like to know what they do for a living, and if I could work for them.

Flawed poll. No choices under $20k.
I've never grossed over $20k, never netted over $16.9k. That was my best year, income-wise.
$5.15 an hour
vote the dems in and they'll increase the min. wage! :elephant:

Depends on where you live. In the NY/NJ area, starter homes are in the $500k range, so 80 grand (hell, even 100k) a year doesn't mean much. Other places, where the cost of living is much lower i would agree that 80 grand is good money.
