First games coming up.

We're about a month away from the first games of the season. What are some exciting games that will start off the season. I know of Crest vs. West Charlotte and South Point hosting Northwestern (SC). Are there any other teams out there unafraid of the big first game?

alexander at davie county.....we've developed a little rivalry since we spent a week around them at catawba getaway camp...should be a great game

Not quite, but Burns has gotten the better of the Titans. Piece of advice for Alexander; Davie is gonna have a great team this year. Good luck against them.

blockhead is right, McDowell did get one win against Burns 3 years ago, I remember that game very well because it was played on Saturday.

dawgpound02, what should we be expecting from Burns this year? I would assume the passing game will be less of a focus now that Goss is gone, or is that just wishful thinking? :)

With burns' newly acquired QB, I think the passing game will be about the same...And the QB rushing game will be the same aswell, if not better..The offense should still be very explosive and powerful...With 7 starters returning, and the other 4 very experienced...due to many blow away games last year in which they got a lot of playing time...Burns also returns ever single offensixe lineman...AS for the defense, they should be very strong this year too...Burns as a whole will be a very solid team this year, and should go deep into the playoffs...as for mcdowell, good luck...

Junior laden with experience due to the ton of sophs that unfortunately had to play up last year. Fast for a McDowell team, but still no one who can stay within 10 yards of Brisco. I am willing to bet that this year's game will be SIGNIFICANTLY better than last years.
